Jim Miller set to face Jared Gordon at June UFC Fight Night event

June will see a clash between two seasoned UFC lightweights.

Jim Miller, featured in MMA Junkie, is scheduled to face off against Jared Gordon in a UFC Fight Night event on June 3 in Las Vegas.

The UFC Apex will host the event, with Amir Albazi and former interim title challenger Kai Kara-France headlining a flyweight bout. MMA Underground’s John Morgan was the first to report the news, which MMA Junkie subsequently confirmed.

Jim Miller initially intended to face the first Slovakian-born UFC fighter, Ludovit Klein, as noted in MMA Junkie. However, Klein's absence due to an illness resulted in Miller's new opponent, Jared Gordon.

In his 42nd UFC walk to the octagon and second fight of 2023, 39-year-old Miller will look to rebound from his recent unanimous decision loss to Alexander Hernandez in February, which terminated his three-fight winning streak. Miller claimed consecutive victories over Erick Gonzalez, Nikolas Motta, and Donald Cerrone, all through second-round stoppages.

34-year-old Gordon aims to get back on track following a no-contest result against Bobby Green in April due to an accidental clash of heads. After a highly-debated unanimous decision loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282, this was his second controversial result.
